Ringing in 2015

Now that we are solidly into 2015, let's celebrate it, shall we? 

My friends Bettijo and Aimee are two of the best party planners in the whole land. Check them out at PAGING SUPERMOM. Serious party planning goodness.  We met Bettijo and her family when we very first moved to Phoenix almost six years ago, and now, 4 wards (church congregations) later, we are in Aimee's ward. Super small world. Love these ladies!

Anyway, we headed over to Bettijo's house to ring in the new year. At 9:00. We had a blast! 

There were fun activities and games for the kiddos.

My poor little Sophie likes to be snuggled up in her bed no later than 6:45. She was not too happy to be out so long past her bed time.

Talk about mesmerized...

This super fun pin the hands on the clock game is a free printable on their website... for next year's new year's eve party.

Around 8:45, we did our countdown. The Hirschi's are the best! At their Halloween party, they covered their floors in dead leaves. As in their floors inside their house. And I'm sure after this party, they were finding confetti all over the place for days!

After the countdown, we headed outside for the pyrotechnics. The kids (and the fire-loving grown ups) loved it all!

The kids even got to try their hands at sparklers for the very first time and were very pleased with themselves.
