Christmas Morning 2014

Christmas morning was magical as always! The kids woke up at 7:15 as they do every morning like clockwork. Zane was really the only one who understood what was going on.

And boy, oh boy, did Zane know what was going on! He was so excited to walk into the living room!

Leila got some Polly Pockets from Santa. Two months later and she still plays with the constantly for minutes on end up in her room. I wish I could say it was hours, but let's be honest, she's still a two-year-old.

Sophie got a car seat from Santa. It's a good thing too. He must have realized that her infant seat had expired. She cozied up in her car seat for much of the morning until Leila and Zane decided they wanted turns too.

Zane got some magic sand from Santa and several other fun things in his stocking like this battery operated glow stick. If you know anything about my boy, you know he is slightly obsessed with glow sticks.

He also got this crystal. Grandma Steph has a beautiful crystal hanging in her kitchen window which casts beautiful rainbows everywhere in the morning light. Zane covets Grandma Steph's crystal. Good thing we told Santa where to look after we found a crystal shop in Sedona on our anniversary trip. It now hangs in the kid's bathroom window and perfectly catches the morning sun.

Sweet Sparkles got a giant rawhide from Santa. It is almost the length of her body. And two months later, she is still working on it.

She also got a pretty little dress. She wasn't a fan, but she looks so dang cute!

Presenting.... Zane's gift pile!

And Leila's gift pile!

Zane and Leila had tons of fun opening their presents. Sophie didn't care one way or the other.

Sparkles misses her pal Tony. I was ALMOST replaced as her favorite person. Almost.

Sophie would just sit down to play with a new toy when all of a sudden there was another new toy to play with. She wasn't sure exactly what was going on, but she didn't mind a bit!

Leila and Zane picked out presents for Uncle Tony in the dollar spot of Target. Leila picked out a paper cupcake kit for him and Zane picked out a candy holder that also had a compass and a flashlight. You know, in case Tony gets lost and hungry in the dark.

Clay got some fun things as well.

Including this new gun from his dad. I don't know what kind it is.  He sure likes it though.

Following presents, we had our traditional reindeer pancakes with fruity candy canes.
It was a wonderfully Merry Christmas!
