Trains!

After our Yosemite Anniversary Adventure, we headed over to Stockton to play with Grandpa and Great Grandpa and Great Grandma O. One of my favorite places to go when I was younger was the Train Museum in Old Sacramento. It was fun to be able to take Zane.

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa drove all the was over from Colorado to spend some time with us. They are awesome!

Dad dropped us off at the front and left to park the car. Zane took the opportunity to push his stroller around the boardwalk.

Even though the building is filled with giant train engines and cars, Zane was most fascinated by the miniature train running around a track. Funny boy.

There is so much to look at in the museum. It is a great place!

I think the trains might have been a bit too big up close for Zane to realize what they actually were. There was a lot of open space for him to run around, though, and he enjoyed that.

My favorite parts are all the historic train cars you can go inside. Zane didn't want to stop and take a picture, he just wanted to run through the train!

We did stop and hang out in the mail car for a little bit. Zane really enjoyed sorting the mail into the different slots. I enjoyed hearing the docent tell the story of a little girl whose parents wanted to send her to her grandparent's house but a passenger ticket was too expensive. They paid postage for her instead and she rode in the mail car all the way to her destination. I don't think that would work anymore.
