My 6-month-old

My sweet, wonderful boy has been 6 months for about a week now, but we just had his check-up (and shots!) today. Some things I love about my cute boy:

  His huge grin

  How happy he is right when he wakes up
• 
  
  The way he giggles when you nibble his neck in just the right spot
• 
  
  How he wraps his hand around my arm to keep himself steady when I carry him on my hip
• 
  
  When I give him a bottle, he reaches up and gently (sometimes not-so-gently) touches my face
• 
  
  The way he squeals with delight at things he likes
• 
  
  The fact that he started sleeping 8 hours a night when he was 5 1/2 weeks old, but is now sleeping 10-11 hours.
• 
  
  The face he makes when he doesn't like the food I offer, but he eats his anyway.
• 
  
  His huge grin

At the doctor today, Zane got more shots. He did pretty well, but I can't say he was pleased. The doctor was extremely suprised that Zane sits up on his own, and was even more suprised when I told him that he has been sitting up without help for the past 4 weeks or so. He said Zane is pretty advanced. What can I say? A genius already!

Stats:
Height: greater than the 97th percentile at 29 1/2 inches (The kid is tall!)
Weight: 90th percentile at 19 lb. 11 oz. (no wonder my arms hurt after carrying him around!)
Head: Still 50%

I think that "Gentle Giant", Steph's nickname for Zane is spot on!

This is one big, happy, big, wonderful, big boy! We just love him!
