Utah Jazz

Zoom in on the little family of two at home on a freezing winter night. We see a young wife in pajamas (Utah Jazz of course) sitting on the couch, working on a couple projects on the computer. Pan left and we see the handsome husband kneeling three feet from the television. As we turn up the audio, we hear a myriad of groans, grunts, and angry threats directed at the television. Every few minutes, the closest object to the young handsome husband's hand is lobbed at the set. Welcome to basketball season.

For 5-7 months, depending upon the success of the team, this is a common scene in our house. My normally good-natured and easy-going husband turns into The Abominable Jazz-Man. Three Christmases ago, when Clay and I had been dating for about three months, he got me my first pair of Jazz pajama pants and told me that if things were going to work out for us, I would need to become a fan. Now, three years, two pairs of pajamas, and two years of marriage later, I guess I made the right choice by accepting those pajamas. Things did work out, and I am a fan of the Jazz, I just don't feel the need to hurl plastic objects at the team while they play...

I think that my Christmas shopping is about done. We are keeping things small this year, due mostly to my amazing kidney and fabulous insurance companies. I still want to make a few Christmas cards though. A girl after her mother's heart, I guess. We'll see if it happens, and if it does, we'll see if they make it out before Christmas!!

Oh goodness, the Jazz are down by 4 points with two minutes left to play. This is going to be a fun two minutes.

Here is a picture in honor of our 2 year anniversary tomorrow. This was taken a month after we started dating... before the pajama pants.
