We were lucky enough to have Leila's party at Grandpa O's resort. It was the perfect place for a party in Phoenix in July! The resort had a water park with several pools, a water slide, and a lazy river. Bri and her cute girls joined us for the festivities. We missed Bret since a dentist's work is never done and he had to work.
Since the little ones almost outnumbered the big ones, we spent most of our time in the baby pool or the beach entry of the big pool.
After swimming we had a room service lunch in the suite where it was nice and cool.
I opted for an easy, low key, virtually no prep on my part birthday party this year. I got this cute princess cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. It was even more delicious than it looked!
Leila had fun trying to blow out her candle. Eventually Zane got tired of her efforts and blew it out for her.
After naps and changing clothes, we opened presents and did Leila's smash cake. Leila loved everything that Grandpa O gave her. She loves soft toys and kept kissing everything that she opened. She is such a sweet girl.
Leila was excited to dig into her personal red velvet cake.
Zane helped her by eating some of the crumbs that dropped on the table. He's such an awesome brother!
Leila would have eaten the whole cake bite by bite if we hadn't taken it away from her. Cute little birthday girl!
She is getting so big! I want to kiss her cheeks. :)
