Our Independence Day was so fun! Grandpa O came out to celebrate with us. It was way to hot to do much during the day (I miss my Morgan Hill parade, festival, and fireworks and Clay misses his Blanding 4th celebration) but we decided to do fireworks for the first time since we have lived in Phoenix. We walked to the neighborhood across the street from us, not expecting too much. Although it was still pretty hot at 9 pm, the fireworks show was pretty great! Zane was terrified at first but quickly figured out that it was pretty cool. Leila kept saying "Ooooooh!" and pointing to the explosions. Right after an awesome finale, Zane yelled, "That was so cool!" If we are in the area next year, we will definitely be hitting up this fireworks show again. The show was great and we didn't have to fight traffic or people since it was within walking distance at a park we usually frequent anyway.
