Happy Easter From Monticello!

We were planning on spending Easter weekend with my family in California, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we switched our plans around last minute and headed to Monticello for Clay's 5-day weekend instead. Although we were sad to miss out on seeing Grandma and Grandpa Faulk, Mama and Papa, and Auntie Ashley, we filled our vacation with lots of exciting activities.

Zane played in the Tee Pee with Grandma Steph,

We had a picnic at the park and everyone got to swing to their hearts' content.

We went to the small Easter Egg hunt in town. We spent more time running around on the ramps at the skate park than actually hunting for eggs. Zane ended up with four eggs and shared two of them with a friend who didn't get any. Gotta love those parents who "helped" their children get 10+ eggs at the hunt.

We colored Easter eggs using Kool-Aid. The colors ended up so pretty and it smelled good too! Leila supervised the egg dying from her bouncer.

The Easter Bunny magically found us at Grandma and Grandad's house. He brought candy, silly putty, and fun bunny ears.

And the Easter Bunny even hid eggs all over the front yard. Zane was ecstatic running all over the yard finding eggs. It was a great weekend!

  1. Thank you for sharing with Braxton. That was nice of you. I didn't take my kids because I figured it would be packed but Janet thought it would be fun so she took them and I stayed home while Kallie was napping.
