My little Leila is growing up. She just won't stop.
She rolls over. And over and over. Sometimes she forgets that she can roll from her stomach to her back and she gets sad. Then she realizes that she can scoot around a little bit like a little baby inchworm, and all is right again in the world.
I never posted last month's stats. I don't remember the exact numbers and I'm not sure where the paper is, but she didn't gain any weight between her two and four month appointments. That wasn't good news, and it put her in the 14th percentile for weight. She was still in the 85th for height, so at least she was growing some. We have completely switched to formula and have a weight check scheduled for next week. Hopefully the little lady is packing on the pounds.
In other news, Leila is a chatterbox, a happy little smiler, sounds like a newborn lamb bleating quietly when she is sad, angry, hungry or tired, and is smitten with her brother. And he is smitten right back at her. Most mornings, the following conversation takes place in our house:
Zane: Good Morning, Sister Girl!
Leila: (Grins)
Zane: Sis, did you have good dreams, Sis?
Leila: (Coos)
Zane: That's good. I'm happy you're awake!
Leila: (Smiles)
Zane: Did you sleep so good? I missed you last night!
It makes my heart happy, especially after a bit of a rough beginning.
Leila is a light in our lives. She is a sweet little soul and makes us all happy.

She's so beautiful!!
