I don't even have words to express how grateful for and proud of my husband I am. I'm glad that we got to take the weekend with family to celebrate his incredible accomplishment. And an incredibly huge thank you to family who took the time to travel to the heat to celebrate Clay!

Waiting for the ceremony to begin

Perusing the program
And the whole crew, minus Mom P, who was taking the picture, and Dad F who is hiding behind Mom F's head. Since Clay's graduation was at 1:30 in the afternoon, right in the middle of Zane's nap time, we left him at home with a sitter.
From the time that the brass quartet played Pomp and Circumstance and Clay marched in, until the bag pipers led the graduates out of the hall, I had tears streaming down my face. I'm pretty sure that even if I wasn't pregnant, I still would have cried just as much. The word "proud" doesn't even begin to touch how I feel about the love of my life. He is an incredible, loving, hard-working, compassionate, hilarious, brilliant man. I am lucky to call him mine, and my child(ren) is/are blessed to have him for a father. He is going to be an amazing pharmacist.
As he shook the hand of Dr. G, the president of the university, they called him Dr. Pehrson for the first time. Coolest moment ever!
Can you find my graduate in the sea of hats?
We sat in the perfect seats to watch him march in and out. And to watch the excitement on his face. That was the best. What a hottie.
Mom P. must be exhausted after a summer full of three graduate school graduations! She is now the mother of a Juris Doctor, a Medical Doctor, and a Doctor of Pharmacy. Tony will be following soon and we will have another pharmacy school graduation in a few years! A big congratulations to all three graduates, but an even bigger congratulations goes to Steph for her support of those graduates!
I managed to pull it together while we were looking for Clay after the ceremony, but the second that I saw him and hugged him, I totally lost it again. I love this man so much.
And I like to kiss him, too. This was my first time kissing a doctor. And I kind of liked it. A lot.
The cheering section from California and Utah:
Dad F and Mom F
flew in from Morgan Hill
Dad O
flew in from Stockton
Mama and Papa
flew in from Livermore
Mom P and Dad P
drove down in "Sweet" (Zane's name for Dad P's new car) from Monticello
And the whole team together, roughing it out in the heat. We appreciate all of your love and support and love all of you so much!
That's the diploma! It's officially official!
Congrats Clay! We are so excited for you! Sorry we couldn't be there!
