Snow Kidding

Blue Mountain is picturesque in the spring. It's beautiful all year round, but I couldn't get over how green and pretty it was. I know that it will get even more green, but I'm a Phoenix girl now. Any green is great green!

Steph, Clay, Zane, and I piled into the car and headed up the mountain for a fun excursion.  I wanted to take that sled that we had used in the dirt earlier in the morning and actually find a little patch of leftover snow. Although we weren't too hopeful, we decided to try.

We got out and explored Foy Lake a little bit. The weather was perfect and Zane had fun exploring. It was hard keeping him from walking right into the lake.

Don't you love those boots? They were a present from cousins Brooke & Peter when Zane was born. They were perfect for "hiking" around the lake.

On the way down the mountain, we found our little patch of snow. We parked on the side of the road and climbed over the guard rails. Clay threw a snowball as I made my way to the snow. I should have cropped the picture a bit so you could see the action shot... Clay's pretty proud of this picture.

Zane loved playing in the snow. Mostly. Until his hands got cold. Then when they warmed up, he was back playing with the snow again.

Sledding!

Zane was mostly confused about what was going on.

He seemed to enjoy it though.

As we were walking toward a pretty stream, he had to stop and pick up some rocks and leaves. Of course.

Pretty snow melt. Cold, but pretty.

Clay showed us how manly he was.

Standing on the log didn't last very long. Zane freaked out about Clay being up there.

We stopped by the snow one more time before heading down to Lloyd's Lake, closer to town.

We enjoyed our stroll and Steph's modeling around the lake.
