Last night we headed over to Desert Ridge for a family date night. It was a pretty last minute decision but we are so glad that we went. We had a blast!
We started out at The Play Factory. Apparently we can't stay away from that place. Zane loved having his dad take him up and down the giant inflatable slide. When I would take him up, as soon as we would get to the top, he would find Clay at the bottom and yell, "Dad! Hi! Dad!"
After about 20 minutes there, we split up for a few minutes. Clay looked around a video game store and I went to a cool store called Bath Junkie. They have a bunch of all-natural bath products and you get to choose your product then choose any combination of over 200 scents to add. You can also choose a color to add. How neat is that? Neither of us bought anything, but Zane was loving flirting with the girls in the store!
The final activity of the night was playing around a Dave and Buster's. Zane (and his light fixation) had so much fun watching all of the excitement and flashing lights. Our family favorite was the Pirates of the Carribean game where we each got a cannon, and Zane got a ship's wheel. He was grinning the whole time as Clay and I shot undead pirates.
Zane was an awesome driver. We even beat Clay! We make a good team!
Toward the end, it seemed that Zane was suffering from a little bit of sensory overload. Plus it was getting close to bedtime. He kept trying to climb off our laps in the middle of our games. We left and strolled around for a little bit to calm him down a bit. He loved watching the birds and looking at the fountains. He definately fell asleep as soon as we got hom and his head hit the crib!

Fun family date! I am double checking before I do a post to see if you want to judge the photos this week or not. It's fine if you don't. Just wanted to post who the judge would be.
