Little Slugger

We decided to sign Zane up for t-ball this year. It is hilarious, awesome, and so much fun. They were in need of coaches so I signed Clay up to coach a group of 4- and 5-year-olds. He is awesome. Clay recruited his friend Jake (whose son is also on our team) to be the assistant coach. The league is really great, with the main focus on having fun. They want the kids to have a great experience playing the different sports (they also offer soccer and football) so that they want to continue playing. At this age, all we can ask for is that Zane has fun. They practice and have fun little games and drills for the first little bit, then they play a "game" where each kids takes a turn hitting off the tee (they keep trying until they get a solid hit) and running around the bases. The other team fields the balls and tries to throw it to first base. Once each person has had a chance at bat, they switch. It's perfect and the kids have a blast. And I love seeing my man in action as coach. He is amazing!
