Happy 39 Months, little monkey! This handsome boy is a ball of energy, imagination, enthusiasm, and personality. He's always pretending to be something else, but he makes sure to inform us what exactly he is pretending to be. If he is a train, he says, "Mom, I'm being a train on a train track. The lines on the floor (the grout) are the tracks!"
Dance parties have become a favorite around these parts. This is probably due partially to preschool where Zane does A LOT of dancing and singing. Freeze dancing is his absolute favorite, but any high energy dancing will do. We watch a lot of Disney Channel Original Movies and every time a song comes on, everybody has to get up off the couch and dance. Credits at the end of shows are also a good place to find upbeat music. And if you are not dancing vigorously enough, he lets you know that you need to move your head more, or wave your arms harder. He cracks us up.
A couple of his quotes from this past month:
"Leila is my favorite guy. And Grandma Steph, and Grandad, and Grandma Faulk. And I like puppies."
During his prayer one night before bed: "Bless me to be a superhero to keep my friends happy and bless Grandma Steph's TV that it will be safe."
Brings out a bag of dried apricots: "Mom, will you open these? I like apri-nuts"
Out of the blue: "Mom, you're a genius."
Zane definitely keeps us on our toes, keeps up laughing, and wears us out all at the same time! We love our sweet, awesome boy!
