SNOW What a Day!

A couple weekends ago, we decided to get out of town for the weekend. We headed two hours northeast of Phoenix and stayed a couple nights in an old west resort. Aside from the fact that everyone ended up with nasty colds, no one slept well, and Zane had a fever most of the trip, it was a fun weekend!

Zane was so excited to play in the snow. He got to make his very first snow angel. 

There was a cute little playground at the resort. The fact that it was snowy and frozen just made it even more fun!

Clay and Zane had fun throwing handfuls of snow at each other. Zane was a little disappointed that the snow was too dry to pack real snowballs.

 But that didn't stop Clay from nailing Zane in the face with snow.

The ice on the slide made it especially slick.Good thing Zane's snowsuit provided some extra padding!

Zane forgave Clay for the face full of snow and pushed him on the swing. 

Zane loved his snow day!

He loved it so much that he took a 2 hour nap.  

Then the boys headed out to the hot tub while Leila and I stayed in the room where it was nice and warm. Zane thought it was so fun to be able to play in the hot tub while there was snow on the ground around him. 

 That's a pretty big smile from a girl who slept a total of about three hours the night night before! Poor Leila wasn't feeling well at all and would only sleep in my arms. It was an exhausting trip but we had so much fun spending time together!
