20 Months

Twenty months must mean it time to talk, because this little man has so much to say. He is a little parrot who repeats absolutely everything that we say. We have to be always on alert to make sure we don't say things that we don't want him repeating.

Zane really loves to "talk" on the phone. If you have ever gotten a phone call from either my or Clay's phones and there was just breathing to screaching on the other side, you are the lucky recipient of one of his phone calls.

Elmo is a favorite around our house and Super Why has joined Sesame Street, Diego, and Word World as one of his favorite shows.

We are working hard to use manners. Zane has been pretty good with Thank You for a while, but is starting to get the hang of Please. We used to have to remind him to say it when he wanted something, but he has figured out that he gets things a lot faster when he says it to begin with.

Zane is definately my shadow. He is going through an especially clingy phase right now and doesn't like to be out of my (or Clay's) sight. I keep reminding him that he needs to be as cuddly and wanting to be around us when he is fifteen.

Zane's favorite place to be is still outside. That's a word he mastered early and we hear is constantly. "Outside?" "Please, outside?". It is starting to cool down the tiniest little bit, so it is getting closer to time to play outside all the time. In this picture you can see the beads of sweat dripping down his face. We were playing in the sand for the pictures, and although he was sweaty and hot, he didn't want to leave. Maybe he will be a park ranger one day and spend all his time outside.
