What do you do in the summertime?

We sit in the air conditioning.

And we swim.

Since Zane has been trying to be Mr. Independent in the pool and his vest thing is still too big, I pulled out last year's inner tube, hoping that he would feel grown up enough floating on his own.

It works perfectly. He loves it.

He is just figuring out that kicking his legs will make him move in different directions.

And that makes this little fishy happy.

No trip to the pool is complete without getting wrapped up in the towel and lounging for a good ten to fifteen minutes. Today when we went swimming he even requested a towel break, then we got back in the water to play some more. He is so funny.

And just for fun, I dug up a picture of Zane in his same tube last summer. It still amazes me that this is the same kid!
