Keep Him Occupied

Things are starting to heat up here in Phoenix. I'm on the hunt to find indoor activities that will keep Zane entertained. I have tried out a couple. I'm excited to try some more!

1. Bubble machine

Steph got us an "after-Easter-sale" bubble machine. It cost her 25 cents. It was worth every single penny and more.

Zane loves bubbles. We have to hide them. If we didn't he would constantly be asking for bubbles.

It was so nice to have something else do the work of blowing the bubbles! And Zane was beside himself when it started to blow more bubbles than Clay and I could every blow.

#2 Texture Center

I had these dollar store bowls on hand and I bought a bag of pinto beans. I pulled out some measuring cups and spoons. Check out the flying beans on the left side of the picture.

I can't pull out my camera without Zane pausing what he is doing to give me his best cheezer.

Zane usually has the attention span of a gnat. Possibley a goldfish. This activity kept him occupied moving beans from one bowl to another for a full 40 mintues. That's four-zero. FOR-TY. I can't wait to do this same thing with rice. And water on the patio. Any other ideas? (Forty)

  2. Cute ideas about the texture centers. By the way, I don't remember if I told you, but your photography skills are quite amazing. I loved those pictures of the temple and of the flowers. I would say that I love your pictures of Zane, but it's hard not to get a great pictures when your subject is so stinkin' cute! : )
