We really don't actually care too much about any baseball teams. The spring training facility for the Mariners and the Padres is right down the street from us. We didn't make it to any games last year so we made a point of making it to a game this year. Steph joined us for the weekend to we took her along with us. We had lawn seats, which are SUPER cheap and it was nice to let Zane run around wherever he wanted.
There were three or four other kiddos around Zane's age running around on the grass too. Zane enjoyed playing with a cute little girl (19 months old! Look at the two of them together!) until she screeched. Another one of Zane's friend is a screecher and for some reason he sobs every time. Today was no exception. The cute little girl screeched while they were playing together, and he took off back toward our blanket, sobbing.
Clay was having a really hard time with sun and the heat, so we ended up getting him a hat. Zane thought it would be super fun to make a game out of taking Clay's hat off and throwing it.
We left the game a little bit early to avoid crowds and because we were starting to get pretty warm sitting in the sun. We headed to the pool when we got home. This was our first pool trip of the year! The water was too cold for me to get all the way in, but Zane and Clay had a blast together. Zane was so happy splashing around. He laughed and giggled and was acting so silly that he kept cracking me and Steph up!
That is the saddest little crying face I have ever seen! Glad that you guys had a good time at the ball game and I am super jealous that it is pool time for you guys!
